 CEHTRA participated in the CHESAR Training session at Brussels/ReachCentrum on the 14 July 2010. CHESAR is a powerful tool developed by ECHA in order to harmonise the risk assessment of chemicals under the REACH regulation. Despite some shortcomings (eg, no version available so far for internal networks, no risk assessment possible for the consumer,...), it appears that this is a promising and interesting tool especially for the flexibility it will provide in the risk assessment procedure. We understand that it will be fully operational in time for the next REACH deadlines.
